Day 91

Three months ago I signed up for Peak Condition Project (PCP) - a 90 day program of eating well and working out. The daily instructions on what to eat and how to workout not only shaped by body, it transformed something inside my head. There is a daily lesson on different aspects of the training. Tomorrow is the last day of the program. I'll be missing out the instruction - not having to think what is right for me. Just following the message from the cloud instead. I was also required to write a blog often enough to keep me connected with the team and the program. I took the opportunity to hone my writing skills. I did more writing in PCP than I did in my creative writing course 'Fear of Writing' and 'Fear of Writing - Graduate Course'. I will be missing the writing terribly. This blog space is created to fill that void on day 91.

The diet in PCP is set by a team of dieticians. A quota of vegetables, carbs and protein for each meal. I set myself a rule not to repeat a meal in its entirety. I experimented with different cuisines and different vegetables. Some of them took a lot of time to prepare. In the last three to four weeks I found my optimal food. It involved slicing and steaming vegetables in a silicon steamer in a microwave. I did get to eat variety of vegetables. It took minimal effort and time. It's healthy. I enjoyed eating them. But this eating style is odd if you see it in a social setting. I forgot to mention there is no salt in the food. That makes it very hard to eat out with friends and colleagues.

I have concerns of relapsing to old ways after the program is over. I'm going to use this space to make myself promises to keep my Peak Condition forever and to report how I achieve that goal.

Cheers,
Cram.
